For your consideration is this authentic original and vintage Riddell TK2 Kra-Lite II football helmet from 1972 as shown by the ring date stamp above the ear hole. We have painted this amazing helmet in appropriate Cowboys blue-silver paint and added iconic Cowboys Star decals and striping to create this custom one of a kind beauty. We have then attached an appropriate authentic and original Schutt NJOP lineman cage facemask, made in 1969, just as fan favorite and All-Time Cowboys great lineman John Niland wore in 1972 as the Cowboys won their first Super Bowl! This is not a replica in any way. Everything piece of equipment on this helmet is the real deal- a RIDDell helmet from 1972 just like worn by many NFL stars. Helmet also has authentic and original vintage leather jaw pads from the era. To round out the package we have attached an authentic two toned chin strap, and appropriate blue Dymo tape with Niland’s name, appropriately placed on rear of helmet, and even added #76 on white tape inside the helmet as might have been done by equipment managers. For your consideration is this vintage and original Riddell Kra-Lite II Micro-Fit football helmet from August 1969 as shown by the date sticker in top of the helmet. This was Riddell’s first water-padding system which which came out during 1969. This is definitely one of the more rare helmet models you will find. This beauty is a custom made one of a kind with vintage jaw pads and OPO facemask just as All Time Cowboys great running back Walt Garrison wore for the last couple of years of his career (see photo). Vintage helmet was painted Cowboys silver with lots of over spray as would have been the case for a helmet used more than one year. Also helmet comes with proper Cowboys decals and striping for that era. To round out the package this amazing specimen has appropriate blue dymo tape of Garrison’s name, appropriately placed on rear of helmet, and has Garrison’s #32 written above the earhole. This rare beauty also comes customized with the Cowboys famous dymo-tape, as the most famous of all Cowboys, Roger Staubach would have had affixed to his helmet! This helmet has been hand signed by Captain Comeback, and is certified by Tri-Star, one of the most trusted in the business, as shown by the Tri-Star sticker on this beautiful helmet. Staubach was drafted by the Cowboys in 1964, after winning the coveted Heisman Trophy in 1963 while guiding the Naval Academy to a near perfect season. Staubach then served until 1969 in the United States Navy, even serving a tour in Vietnam, before beginning his professional career with the Cowboys in 1969. The novelty here is that Staubach would have worn this style helmet during his annual off season training camps with the Cowboys from 1964 through 1966. This is truly a rare collectible! Riddell Classic Kra-Lite RK2 Football Helmet. A classic step back in time!
