Up for sale is an AUTHENTIC. NFL Paul Tagliabue Dallas Cowboys Game Used Wilson Football. The Cowboys had a bin full of footballs labeled 2002 Game Used footballs (see pictures). 2002 was Emmitt Smith’s last year with the Cowboys, so what a great collectible to have. I was able to photo match the referee markings that are on this ball to the game when Emmitt broke the NFL Leading Rushing Record. Emmitt handled the ball a lot during that football game, so it is likely that he handled this ball at some point during a game. The referee of that game was Mike Carey, hence the MC on the ball. The football has a detached WeTrak COA card that comes with the ball. WeTrak was Emmitt Smith’s authenticity company that the Cowboys used to authenticate their memorabilia in the early 2000′s. The company is no longer in business. Also evident are the referee marking on the laces. Please be aware that the ball is low on air. I did not fill it up, so I can’t say that it will hold air when full. This is an awesome piece of history and is a great collectible for any Dallas Cowboys / Emmitt Smith fan.
